RALEIGH, N.C. -- Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina has tapped Rosie Allen, a long-time advocate for children and families, as its president and CEO.
Allen joins Prevent Child Abuse after serving as director of development for the North Carolina Partnership for Children.
She also has served as executive director for Smart Start Rowan, Communities in Schools of Wake County and the Partnership for Children in Cumberland County.
"Her demonstrated track record and outstanding leadership on behalf of North Carolina's children and families will serve this agency well," Bo Dempster, board chair of Prevent Child Abuse, says in a statement.
The organization, founded in 1979, has a membership network of more than 350 community-based groups and individuals across North Carolina.
